Looking for inspiration to make some changes to that unhealthy lifestyle you now feel burdened with after months of enforced winter hibernation?  The Boulders Inn hopes you will find it during our Restore-Reconnect-Rejuvenate-Renew Wellness Weekend: three days of Yoga, Pilates  and nature guaranteed to put some” Spring” in your step in the most pleasurable way possible.  Yoga & Plates classes, hikes( leave your  Jimmy Chu’s at home), gym workouts, spa treatments, and special menus designed to optimize your energy  through the use of locally sourced, organic products—less meat, less fat , with a focus on fruits and vegetables as fresh as the local growing season allows.   All this and more awaits those wishing to begin taking charge of their lives, embarking on a new journey towards spiritual and physical health.  *RESTORE* Feel sanity restored when you arrive Friday evening, experiencing the rustic beauty of the inn, the lake and the rolling hills awash in the afterglow of the setting sun. Check into one of our Carriage House rooms, relax in the deep soaking tub, and wrap yourself in one of our sumptuous Spa robes.  *RECONNECT* with your companion in front of your fireplace before taking a leisurely stroll down to the inn for a quiet respite before dinner curled up in front of the handsome stone fireplace or in the library with that book you haven’t had the chance to read yet.  Bask in the steam of a cup of hot  tea  and freshly baked cookies or enjoy specialty seasonal cocktail before heading to the dining room overlooking Lake Waramaug where you will be treated to a menu of healthy choices full of the good energy and love our chef has put into each and every dish.  *REJUVENATE* Saturday morning early risers will delight in a light breakfast which may feature rejuvenating, energizing choices such as fresh organic vegetable or fruit  juices, whole grain cereal, house made bread and muffins, local farm fresh cow’s milk yogurt with a selection of toppings-almonds, flax or sunflower seeds, organic berries, granola and dried fruit.  Feeling the years drop off  after a satisfying start to the day.  *RECONNECT* Saturday late morning yoga class is a relaxing meditative mind- body reconnection, with a massage following class to bring full circle the holistic benefits of a day well spent .  Your sessions will be customized to your specific physical and spiritual needs.  Wind down the day with a relaxing lakeside stroll.  Find room for the four course dinner of healthy selections prepared from the freshest locally available ingredients. Be sure to stop by the living room after dinner, where the setting sun over the lake will create a stunning backdrop for the live cool sounds of  local jazz musicians whose music will make your spirit sing.   After breakfast on Sunday, you are invited to test your body and mind against the rigorous challenge of Pilate’s class before embarking on what we hope will be the beginning of a better, more mindful way of life!   Make your much needed getaway work for your health  and return home feeling better than when you left!

Yoga & Pilates

Alina Hernandez is a certified teacher with Yoga Alliance (R.Y.T.). She has been teacher certified by renowned instructor Rodney Yee, by Richard Rozen, contributing editor for Yoga Journal, and Jimamukti trained Collen Saidmain. Alina’s training also includes work with Dr. Jamie Naughright, athletic trainer for professional athletes and dynamic anatomy teacher, as well as Anatomy workshops at the Lyengar Institute in NYC. She is featured in the cover of the Mayo Clinic and Gaiam integrated health videos.

Alina is a very popular teacher.  Her classes are friendly and caring and she has a unique way of bringing her yoga knowledge to her students.  She is teacher certified and a member of the Yoga Alliance R.Y.T.

Level 2-1 Saturday 9:30-11:00 am

Pilates Sunday 10:30-11:30 am
